Email and Messaging Policy
1. Scope
This policy governs email, in-product messaging, campaign sequences, chatbot communications, and related outbound features in Pamphlet. SMS and voice calling are not currently offered as product features. If Pamphlet introduces SMS or calling capabilities, supplemental terms will be published before those features become generally available.
2. Customer responsibilities
Customers must:
- Maintain provable consent, opt-in records, or lawful legitimate interest documentation for recipients
- Honor unsubscribe and opt-out requests promptly
- Include accurate sender identification and required disclosures under CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, and other applicable laws
- Maintain suppression lists and do not re-contact opted-out addresses
- Ensure message content is truthful and not deceptive
3. Sending infrastructure
Pamphlet sends mail through configured domains and infrastructure, including transactional mail through Resend and customer-configured sending domains where supported. Shared infrastructure deliverability depends on aggregate sender reputation across customers.
Pamphlet may apply daily and hourly send limits, send windows, throttling, and emergency stop controls to protect infrastructure and recipients.
4. Prohibited messaging
Prohibited practices include:
- Unsolicited bulk email without lawful basis
- Phishing, malware distribution, or fraudulent schemes
- Harvested or purchased lists used without compliant consent
- Misleading subject lines or disguised sender identity
- High complaint-rate campaigns that harm shared reputation
- Messaging to role accounts or minors where prohibited by law
5. Unsubscribe and compliance tools
Customers must configure unsubscribe mechanisms appropriate to their jurisdiction and message type. Pamphlet provides unsubscribe routes and suppression handling where supported in the product. Customers remain responsible for legal compliance of their programs.
6. Suspension
Pamphlet may suspend or limit sending for policy violations, elevated bounce or complaint rates, recipient abuse reports, or legal requests. Customers will receive notice where practicable and may appeal to cs@pamphlet.io with remediation plans.
