Acceptable Use Policy
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited and restricted uses of the Pamphlet Services. It supplements the Terms of Service. Violations may result in suspension or termination.
2. Lawful use
Customers must use the Services only for lawful business purposes and in compliance with applicable laws, including privacy, marketing, anti-spam, export control, and industry-specific regulations. Customers are responsible for the legality of Customer Content and outbound communications sent from their Pam Pods.
3. Prohibited conduct
Customers and Authorized Users must not:
- Send unlawful, deceptive, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory communications
- Distribute malware, phishing content, or fraudulent schemes
- Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation with Pamphlet or third parties
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data in violation of law or third-party terms
- Attempt to bypass Pam Pod isolation, authentication, rate limits, or security controls
- Probe or test vulnerabilities without authorization; report issues to cs@pamphlet.io
- Use the Services to store or transmit illegal content
- Resell or sublicense the Services except as expressly permitted
- Use automated means to create accounts or abuse free tiers
- Interfere with Service availability for other customers
4. Messaging and outreach
Customers must comply with CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, ePrivacy, and other applicable messaging laws. Prohibited messaging practices include:
- Sending to purchased lists without lawful basis
- Ignoring opt-out or unsubscribe requests
- Falsifying headers, subject lines, or sender identity
- Sending high-volume outreach that damages shared deliverability infrastructure
Pamphlet may throttle, queue, or suspend sending that violates this AUP or the Email and Messaging Policy.
5. AI and automation
Customers must configure Pam Agent approval gates and sending policy appropriate to their risk tolerance and legal obligations. Customers must not use AI features to generate unlawful content, impersonate individuals without authorization, or automate harmful outreach at scale without human oversight where required by law or contract.
6. API and developer use
API Keys must be kept confidential and scoped to authorized Pam Pods. Developers must not attempt cross-tenant access, exceed published rate limits, or use the API to build competing extraction services that violate third-party rights.
7. Enforcement
Pamphlet may investigate suspected violations, remove or block content, suspend accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement where required. Customers must cooperate with reasonable abuse investigations. Report abuse to cs@pamphlet.io.
